HIPS (Home Information Packs)

From 10 September, all homes in England and Wales with 3 or more bedrooms will need a Home Information Pack (HIP) before marketing the property, which includes a home energy rating. The Pack includes an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC), containing advice on how to cut carbon emissions and fuel bills. Also included are documents such as a sale statement, searches and evidence of title.

The legislation has been introduced to make the buying and selling process more efficient. They will also raise the awareness of energy efficiency which is vital to help the environment whilst saving you money on your fuel bills.
